Rumor: Former Dell Top Executive to Join in Amazon China

BEIJING, Nov 19, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --An insider revealed that Alex Yung, former global vice president of Dell Inc. DELL, has submitted resignation and was expected to join in China division of Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN at the end of this month at the soonest.

It is disclosed that Alex Yung is very likely to take charge of the department specially designed by the China segment of Amazon for Kindle and cloud service business.

Before leaving Dell, Alex Yung once served as global vice president and Greater China general manager for big enterprises and public business department, responsible for cloud computing-related business. The top executive also took charge of some hardware business before that.

Amazon spokesperson told the public at the beginning of November that the China president Wang Hanhua would resign in late November and would be temporarily replaced by Steve Frazier, vice president for the company's retail business, until the appointment of a suitable candidate.
