Market needs 'to develop'

Oct 10, 2012 (Menafn - The Australian - ABIX via COMTEX) --Paulo Maia told the Finsia conference on 10 October 2012 that smaller companies find it hard to attract funds via the issue of corporate bonds. Maia, the CEO of HSBC Australia, suggested this was because credit agencies did not apply ratings to smaller firms, and investors were wary of companies that were not rated. BNP Paribas Australia CEO Didier echoed Maia's calls for the Australian corporate bond market to be expanded.
