Police seek information on theft at mine property near Tuscarora
TUSCARORA, Aug 12, 2012 (Menafn - Republican & Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers and state police at Frackville are investigating a theft and criminal mischief incident at a Schuylkill Township job site last month.
Police said the incident occurred between 3 p.m. July 24 and 6 a.m. July 25 at the Tarcon Mine site of Gale Mining Co. on Catawissa Road, just north of Tuscarora.
Police said someone entered the property and stole a large number of welding-related items from a utility truck owned by both Richard Degregor, owner of Degregor Welding Co., and David Suender, who leases the Tarcon Mine property.
The most significant piece of equipment taken was a blue Miller Bobcat gas welding unit, Model NT225, valued at about 9,000, police said.
Schuylkill County Crime Stoppers will pay up to 1,000 for in-formation on the identity of those responsible for this crime or any other unsolved crime in Schuylkill County.
Callers are asked to refer to incident 08-12-12 when calling with information about the theft and criminal mischief incident in Schuylkill Township.
