KBR's building group wins construction contract from Honda Aircraft Company in North Carolina

Nov 15, 2012 (Menafn - M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) --Engineering, construction and services company, KBR KBR revealed on Wednesday that its KBR Building Group has been awarded a contract to construct a new Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility for American Honda Motor Co near the Honda Aircraft Company's world headquarters at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The company said that the KBR Building Group teamed up with minority owned general contractor firm the Daniele Company of Durham, North Carolina to provide general contracting services for the 90,000 sq ft facility being constructed for the advanced light business jet aircraft, HondaJet.

KBR added that the site work will be finished by the second half of 2013 prior to HondaJet's entry into service.

Financial details of the deal were not discussed.
