Thomson to get top job at News

Dec 02, 2012 (Menafn - The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --Australian-listed global media group News Corporation is set to announce the new head of the print media, book publishing and pay TV division. Current "Wall Street Journal" managing editor Robert Thomson, an Australian, will be promoted to the role in early December 2012, insiders say. Current News executive chair Rupert Murdoch will continue to hold the role at the remaining operations, mainly covering the entertainment assets of News. The company will hive off the print business, most likely in mid-2013.
