Rival duo stronger, says Etihad

Feb 04, 2013 (Menafn - The Australian Financial Review - ABIX via COMTEX) --James Hogan, the CEO of Abu Dhabi-based airline Etihad Airways, says its partnership with Virgin Australia is superior to Qantas's joint venture with Emirates. Etihad, which has a nine per cent stake in Virgin Australia, made a net profit of US42 million in 2012, on revenue of A4.8 billion. Hogan claims that Etihad has a greater number of connections to Europe than Emirates.
