Lakewood Ranch debt collections call center hiring
Jan 24, 2013 (Menafn - The Bradenton Herald - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --LAKEWOOD RANCH -- Oliphant Financial LLC, a debt collections company, is hiring 70 employees for its call center for 2013 and expects to employ an additional 200 in the next three years.
The company is holding a job fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 5 at its 9009 Town Center Parkway headquarters in Lakewood Ranch.
The company purchases distressed accounts from companies like Home Shopping Network and Target and handles the debt collection.
"We may have the ability to offer discounts on balance or payment arrangements," said Jeremy Croteau, employee relations manager.
Oliphant Financial recently has begun collecting on debt it doesn't own as well as doing more of its debt collection in-house, which has pushed the need for more employees, Croteau said.
"We expect to hire three to seven people every three weeks" until all positions are filled, he said.
The job fair will feature company presentations and "speed interviewing" from company representatives. Candidates who are selected from the first round of the speed interviewing will be invited to return at a later date for a second interview. Candidates are asked to have a resume with their references contact information available for review.
Minimum job requirements include a high school diplo
ma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience in collections, customer service, or sales. Debt collections experience or call center experience are preferred, but not required.
Hourly wages range from 11 to 14 per hour. There also are monthly bonuses based on collections.
