Terra Firma in Talks with CDB for New Energy Fund

BEIJING, Nov 15, 2012 (Menafn - SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) --Terra Firma, a private equity (PE) firm in Europe, is in talks with China Development Bank (CDB) for a possible capital injection into a new energy fund.

Terra Firma will not rule out the possibility to bring in other investors apart from CDB. The PE company plans to set up a USD 20 billion fund to invest in new energy projects abroad, said president for Terra Firma China, noting that USD 3 billion-5 billion will be raised via equity and the remainder 80% via creditor's rights.

The cooperation of Terra Firma and CDB includes the formation of a renminbi fund, according to the president, noting that a 36-million leasing home program initiated by the Chinese government will become a target of Terra Firma in the real estate market.

Terra Firma, experienced in residential building management, will probably start from management in the country and expand to development eventually.
