BRIEF: 2 killed in Mason County crash
Oct 30, 2012 (The Olympian (Menafn - Olympia - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: The two killed in the Highway 101 crash were inside the car, according to Trooper Russ Winger. The semi truck driver was not injured.
The state Department of Ecology is responding to the crash scene south of Potlatch State Park for a minor diesel spill from the semi truck, Winger said.
The roadway is still blocked.
INITIAL REPORT: Two were killed in a crash off Highway 101 south of Potlatch State Park in Mason County Tuesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash happened shortly after noon involving a semi truck and a car in the northbound lanes of the highway, according to Trooper Russ Winger.
State Patrol investigators are on the scene. Winger said the road "is going to be blocked for some time," during the investigation.
