Oct 13, 2012 (Menafn - The Columbian - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Austin Mace rushed for 196 yards and three touchdowns in the first half, leading the Thunder to an easy win over the Eagles.

The victory gives the Thunder three in a row in league play, setting themselves up for a two-week drive for the Class 3A Greater St. Helens League title.

Mace scored on runs of 65, 25 and 10 yards in the second quarter. He added a 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, finishing the game with 223 yards on 13 carries.

Mountain View ended up with 409 yards rushing. Carl Falls rushed for 69 yards and two touchdowns.

The Thunder defense also got into the scoring. Bennett Muasau and a host of tacklers got a Bay ball carrier in the end zone for a safety.

Mountain View (5-2, 3-0 GSHL) will travel to Kelso next week then host Columbia River in Week 9. The Thunder are trying to win their first league title since 2001 when they were a 4A program.

The struggles for Hudson's Bay (0-7, 0-3) continued. The Eagles, who have scored three touchdowns all season, were shut out for the fourth time.

The Mountain View defense held the Eagles to 35 yards of offense.
