BRIEF: Darden to open Olive Gardens in Puerto Rico

Apr 23, 2012 (Menafn - The Orlando Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Olive Garden is coming to Puerto Rico.

Orlando-based Darden Restaurants said Monday it has entered into an agreement with Restaurant Operators Inc. to develop and operate Olive Garden and LongHorn Steakhouse on the island.

Restaurant Operators already operates five LongHorn Steakhouses, which were built prior to Darden acquiring the chain in 2007.

The company will build at least three more LongHorn Steakhouses and eight Olive Gardens in five years.
