BRIEF: Swisher Hygiene unable to file financial results

Nov 16, 2012 (Menafn - The Charlotte Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --Charlotte-based Swisher Hygiene said Thursday that, for the fourth time this year, the company is unable to file required financial reports, as it completes an internal investigation of its accounting practices.

The company said it is still working to complete the internal review, which will likely result in it stating millions of dollars more in losses for previous quarters than it had disclosed.

According to securities filings Swisher, a cleaning and waste disposal company, can't say when it might be able to file financial reports covering most of the last two years.

Swisher first disclosed the internal review in March. The company also told investors that its past financial statements can't be relied on. Swisher's CEO, Steve Berrard, two chief financial officers, and several other executives have left the company since the review was initiated.
