China warns Health food companies over false ads


(MENAFN) China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA), stated that it has issued warnings to 32 health food firms for using advertisements which include false material, reported Xinhua News. The administration also said that some of the ads featured false claims of the capability of a product to treat, partially of fully, a certain disease. The CFDA added that around 90 percent of the ads included illegal content, 39 percent of which featured the claims of curing capabilities. It is worth mentioning that the CDFA warned the companies that it would suspend their operations if the fail to abide by the law in the future, and urged them to recall the advertisements.
