Bahrain keeps an eye on Hezbollah 'activities'


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  Bahrain has launched an investigation into the possible Hezbollah activities in the country and would take legal action against the group. Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has ordered investigators to examine possible Hezbollah actions including financial investments, commercial and economic activity, operations that masquerade as charities, bank accounts, money transfers and individual members of the organisation, so that proper legal action could be taken against them. The initiative is part of the steps being taken as a result of designating Hezbollah a terrorist organisation by the Kingdom This also coincides with the GCC's recent announcement that member countries will consider Hezbollah as a terrorist organisation and will look into their activities in the Gulf region.
