Abu Dhabi International Airport traffic up 14%


(MENAFN) Ahmad Al Haddabi, chief operations officer at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) stated that the company saw a 14 precent climb in passenger traffic in the first quarter of this year, reported Khaleej Times. Al Haddabi also said that over 5.2 million passengers passed through Abu Dhabi International Airport in the first three months of 2013. The chief operations officer added that destinations in Germany, India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan saw the highest traffic rates during the quarter. It is worth noting that the airport in the first quarter had 42,735 flights as well as an increase in cargo traffic with 209,880 tonnes of cargo passing through the airport in the same period.
