(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Â ABU DHABI - Al Maabar recently awarded a $197 million contract to Arabtec to construct a mixed used realty project in Amman.
Arabtec was selected as the lead contractor out of 10 companies invited to bid last year. Work on the project will take place over 33 months and Arabtec will commence construction in July 2013.
The project was signed in the presence of Jordan's Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, and Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Development and International Cooperation, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum.
