Canada imposes embargo on Iranian imports

(MENAFN) Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister, John Baird, announced that his country has imposed an embargo on almost all shipments to and imports from the Islamic Republic, reported AP. Baird added that the country is also blacklisting 30 individuals and 82 entities, as its concerns over Iran's nuclear program are rising. In September, the North American country closed its embassy in Tehran and ordered Iranian diplomats to leave. It is worth noting that the latest round of sanctions comes as negotiations between Iran, the UN Security Council and Germany, failed to reach a deal.
