Japan to offer Myanmar USD395m

(MENAFN) Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will meet Myanmar's President Thein Sein and is going to offer the country USD395 million to help cover its debt, reported Bloomberg citing Jiji Press. Japan agreed last year to clear up USD6.6 billion in debt and offer loans to help repay the Asian Development Bank and World Bank. This Japanese support will enhance the country's growth, according to Abe. As Japanese companies and firms are diversifying production, they consider boosting business in Myanmar and importing goods from that country.
