(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Fujairah Police are making all efforts to unveil the mystery behind the death of an Asian engineer, whose body was found in a pool of blood after he was purportedly attacked and struck with a sharp object in his bedroom inside a labour compound in Al Hala mountainous area in Fujairah on Tuesday.
The body of the victim was taken to Dibba Fujairah hospital for post-mortem. According to initial police reports, the victim, identified as M. S. M., was in his 20s working with a contracting company in Fujairah.
Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed bin Ghanim Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Polic, said the employer of the victim reported to the police that he had been absent from work for two days. The victim was found in a pool of blood inside his bed room in Al Hala neigbourhood, 3km off Dibba city. The police said he died 48 hours ago when his body was found. The investigation found blood stains and traces of physical assault on the body.
Criminal evidence experts checked the place and lifted fingerprints, while criminal investigation teams interrogated persons close to the victim.
