(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti woman sustained head and hand injuries after resisting the alleged attempt of a male compatriot to sexually harass her. The woman told police the suspect invited her to his yacht but she was surprised when he started touching private parts of her body as soon as they were inside.
Luckily, her friend, who was outside, heard her screaming. Her friend immediately went inside the yacht to check on her, but she was already lying on the floor as the suspect pushed her when she screamed.
The friend hurried outside and asked a passerby to call police; however, the suspect already fled from the scene when the officers arrived. Paramedics were also called to administer first aid on the victim who was later taken to Amiri Hospital for proper treatment as she sustained head and hand injuries due to the altercation with the suspect.
The woman provided police with a detailed description of the suspect and investigations are ongoing to summon him for questioning. The necessary legal action will be taken against him once proven guilty.
