(MENAFN- Arab Times) Al-Oula Fuel Company praised the Ministry of Interior, particularly the Criminal Investigation Department, for the immediate arrest of the thief who stole from Sulaibiya Fuel Station at gunpoint and carted away cash amounting to KD 1,470, says Al- Seyassah. In a recent press statement, the company disclosed that Director General of Jahra Security Directorate Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah and other officials arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information on the incident. They lifted fingerprints and took all the necessary legal procedures to arrest the thief. The company also thanked Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdul Hameed Al-Awadhi and all the security officers who exerted tremendous efforts in arresting the culprit within a short span of time. Meanwhile, the General Administration of Criminal Investigation has yet to give credible information about the gang of 'thieves' who robbed a local bank recently inside the Shuwaikh Industrial Area, reports Al-Shahed daily. According to sources the detectives have come out empty handed even after viewing the CCTV footage of the robbery. Meanwhile, personnel from the same administration recently raided a number of cafés in Salmiya and Hawalli and arrested some people for violating residence laws. Some of them were released after their sponsors showed up at the General Administration for Immigration and others to the concerned authorities. Sources say the some security officers focus on issues which do not fall within their line of duty instead of looking into pending important issues.
