Morocco to boost wind energy output

(MENAFN) Morocco is planning a project to increase wind energy production in southern Tarfaya region, reported AFP. This project will be Africa's largest wind farm by 2014. The country plans to produce 42 percent of its energy demands, which is 4,000MW, via renewable sources by 2020. The Kingdom intends to generate 2,000MW from solar, as it launched the first five solar power plants, while the other 2,000MW will come from wind power.
