Iran to boost 2013 steel ore production to 16m tons


(MENAFN) Iranian Assistant Minister Of Industry And Mines, Wajiahallah Jaafari, announced that the country's output of steel ore will grow to 16 million tons during the current year, reported Qatar News Agency. Jaafari added that in 2012, the Islamic Republic's production of different types of steel products exceeded 17 million tons. He said that in 2013, output of steel products is projected to rise to 18 million tons. It is worth noting that as Iran is introducing 3 new steel production units, additional 3 million tons will be added to the productive capacity of steel ore in 2013.
