France's car sales down 5% last month

(MENAFN) The French car sales federation stated that brand new car sales in the country declined by 5% last month compared to the same period last year, reported Xinhua News. French car makers also posted a reduction in sales, as Peugeot Citroen's sales dropped by 10.6 percent. In addition, Renault's sales declined to 46,159 cars, a 6.3-percent fall from a year before. It is worth noting that the lack of consumer sentiment in the Euro zone has led to crippling economic turmoil across the EU.
