China's Q1 oil, gas output marginally increases


(MENAFN) China's National Development and Reform Commission stated that the country's oil and gas output grew modestly during the first three months, reported Xinhua News. The country's natural gas output reached 30.6 billion cubic meters, a 6.2-percent increase from a year before. Meanwhile, the country's crude oil production witnessed a 2.3-percent rise for the first quarter, to 51.2 million tons. It's worth noting that China imported 13.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the first quarter, up 34.5 percent, in order to keep up with energy demands.
