(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The runaway success of the first edition of Gitex Shopper Spring has been confirmed, with exhibitors reporting record sales across the board.
An estimated Dh93 million was generated over the four-day event, which attracted 123,720 visitors.
"With strong visitor and sales numbers, Gitex Shopper Spring has demonstrated that it is a not to be missed event for consumers and retailers alike," said Trixee Loh, senior vice-president of the Dubai World Trade Centre, the organiser of the event.
Millions of dirhams worth of gadgets and electronics were sold, with smartphones, laptops, tablets and televisions among the best-performing categories.
