Saudi SEC grants USD120m contract to Swiss ABB


(MENAFN) ABB's Power Products division's director, Bernhard Jucker, stated that the Swiss power group has been awarded a USD120 million contract from the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), reported Arabian Business. Jucker added that the company will be in charge of designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing power transformers that will boost the Kingdom's power capacity and allow more electricity supply to meet rising demand. He added that the transformers will be situated at substations in the western, eastern, southern and central regions of Saudi Arabia. It is worth noting that transformers are integral components of an electrical grid and are vital for the efficient and safe conversion of electricity between diverse voltage systems.
