Iran eyes oil exports deal with N Korea

(MENAFN) Iranian Oil Minister, Rostam Ghasemi, announced that in order to enhance the country's economy, the government is eyeing oil exports to North Korea, reported AP, citing official IRNA news agency. Ghasemi added that the two sides are currently negotiating oil sales deal. The two countries inked a scientific and technological cooperation deal in September; however, Iran has refuted allegations by the UN that the two nations have exchanged ballistic missiles, components and technology in violation of UN sanctions. It is worth noting that an oil agreement between Tehran and Pyongyang would increase the two nations' conflict with the US and the West.
