(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) EMC Corporation on Wednesday announced the launch of the first annual EMC CIO Connect Summit for the region comprising Turkey, emerging Africa and the Middle East.
The two-day summit brings together over 100 senior IT decision-makers from the banking and telecommunications sectors across the region to share best practices and challenges.
The summit will provide an in-depth overview of EMC's portfolio of solutions for the telecom and banking sectors and the ways in which these solutions can help customers better achieve their business goals. Representatives of RSA, the security division of EMC, will highlight the need for intelligent security practices in the face of advanced, targeted cyber-attacks.
At the summit, EMC executives will also shed light on how to develop intelligent IT strategies built on the foundation of Big Data, IT transformation, and trust. Speakers at the event will also discuss EMC's roadmap and strategic direction through 2013 and its plans to extend its market leadership across the region.
Brian Gallagher, President, EMC enterprise storage division, said the world is witnessing an information explosion presenting enterprises with unique challenges and opportunities. Â
