Dubai- dnata buys Australia's BAS


(MENAFN) Dubai-based dnata stated that it has bought Australia's Broadlex Air Services (BAS), a provider of aircraft cleaning services, reported Arabian Business. dnata's divisional senior vice president of Associated Companies, Stewart Angus, said that dnata, which is one of the world's largest air services providers, will own 100 percent of the BAS' business that will carry on operating as a separate business. The deal will expand dnata's Australian team to more than 3,700 people nationally and add to its existing investments in in-flight caterer Alpha, airport services joint venture Toll dnata and contact center provider Mindpearl. It is worth noting that BAS' customers include Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Jetstar, Emirates, Malaysian Airlines and Thai International.
