(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti man attempted to commit suicide by consuming a large quantity of analgesics inside the diwaniya of his house in Doha.
The man's sister was surprised when she found him lying unconscious on the floor with several pieces of analgesic tablets near him. She quickly informed the Interior Ministry's Operations Room.
Rescue officers and paramedics rushed the man to Jahra Hospital where he is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit. Preliminary investigations revealed the man is suffering from mental illness and he has been undergoing treatment at the Psychiatric Hospital.
Meanwhile, an Indian domestic worker tried to commit suicide by consuming insecticide inside a farm in Abdali.
The sponsor of the worker found him lying on the ground with a bottle of insecticide beside him. The sponsor reported the incident to Al-Qash'aniyah Police Station immediately.
A rescue team, along with paramedics, rushed to the scene. The worker was taken to Jahra Hospital. Initial investigations he is facing serious family problems back home.
