(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Administrative Court, headed by Judge Ahmad Al-Deihan, has instructed the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor undersecretary to pay KD 3,000 to a supervisor as compensation for damages caused by a decision on the promotion of another supervisor in the same department where he works.
The plaintiff's lawyer, Attorney Abdul Muhsen Al-Qattan, said decision number 802/2010 was issued appointing the head of Jahra Labor Department to do the functions of his client, the supervisor of Evaluation and Follow-up Unit in the same department. He disclosed his client filed a petition against the decision which contravenes law number 25/2006 on promotion to supervisory posts but it was rejected.
Al-Qattan argued his client is qualified for the post considering his high academic qualifications and 12 years experience, in addition to fulfilling all conditions set forth in decision number 37/2006.Â
