(MENAFN- Arab Times) A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently in possession of alcohol and a two-barrel hunting gun, reports Al-Rai daily.
Reportedly, the suspect was driving recklessly in Wafra when securitymen patrolling the area stopped him and checked his vehicle to find three bottles of alcohol and the shooting gun.
He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, a team of securitymen from the Jahra Security Command launched a surprise inspection campaign along Salmi Road in response to the complaints of many people that the area is frequented by bird hunters.
In a recent press statement, Director of the security command Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah disclosed a team has been instructed to closely monitor the area after receiving several complaints regarding the acts of bird hunters who gather there with their weapons. He affirmed the team will continue the campaign to track down the bird hunters and the necessary measures will be taken against anyone who will be caught red-handed. Â
