Google's Belgium data center to undergo USD390m expansion

(MENAFN) Google Inc announced that it will spend USD390 million to improve its data center in Belgium, reported AP. The internet search giant added that the center, which is one of the most energy-efficient facilities of its kind, has around 120 workers. The center, like Google's other industrial-scale data centers, processes information related to several services provided by the company, including internet search requests, Gmail or YouTube. Google, which manages other data centers providing services for the European market in Ireland and Finland, noted that the aim of the upgrade is to meet rising demand for its online services.
