Ford Focus 2012 sales exceed 1m units


(MENAFN) Ford Motor Co announced that strong demand from China and the US boosted sales of its Focus model to more than 1 million units in 2012, reported Reuters. The US carmaker said that the model was the world's bestseller in terms of passenger cars, with 1,020,410 compact cars sold in the year. Ford Focus, which was introduced in China in March 2012, saw its sales grow by 51 percent in the Asian country, with 1 out of 4 Focus vehicles being sold in China. Meanwhile, in the period, the company's sales in the US surged by 40 percent. It is worth noting that Ford's line-up also includes the popular F-Series pickup trucks.
