Kuwait- Taxi driver strangled

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Two unknown youths attacked a Pakistani taxi driver recently in Qairawan and fled from the scene. Reportedly, the two youths had waved down the taxi and requested the driver to drop them in Qairawan. However, after reaching Qairawan, the youth sitting at the back seat used a rope to strangle the driver while the other youth sitting in the front seat pulled out a knife from his pocket and placed it on the driver's stomach. They threatened to kill him if he did not give them his money. The driver immediately parked the taxi and signaled for help from passersby. When a passerby noticed the strange incident and tried to help, the youths attacked the driver and ran away on foot. The driver reported the incident at the area's police station, supporting his complaint with a medical report, which indicated the injuries and bruises he sustained. The officers noted the descriptions of the suspects and filed a case for investigations.
