Kuwait- Egyptian duo caught

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Upon a request from its Egyptian counterpart, the Kuwaiti Interpol has arrested two Egyptians - an engineer and an accountant - who are wanted by law in Egypt for smuggling out of Egypt antiques to East Europe, mainly Poland, reports Al-Rai daily. Investigations conducted by securitymen have revealed the engineer had paid visits to Poland several times over the past few months. Acting on information police raided the apartment of the engineer in Salmiya and arrested him and he then guided police to his compatriot and accomplice. However, the accountant was in custody of the Immigration Security Department because a case of absconding had been filed against him by his sponsor. During interrogation the Egyptians said they were copper traders. The men will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities after the extradition documents.
