UAE's Etihad Airways starts service to Washington DC

(MENAFN) Etihad Airways president and CEO, James Hogan, announced that the Abu Dhabi-based carrier has started its service to Washington DC, its fourth destination in North America, reported Arabian Business. Hogan said that the non-stop daily flights between the two capital cities come due to strong demand for government and business travel. The UAE carrier has dedicated 3,360 weekly seats for the new service, which is expected to provide another international link to Abu Dhabi International Airport. He added that Etihad Airways will launch a USD6.8 million premium lounge this week in Terminal A at Dulles Airport to serve passengers of the airline's Diamond First and Pearl Business Class passengers. It is worth noting that Etihad Airways other destinations in North America are New York and Chicago in the US and Toronto in Canada.
