Kuwait- Cables worth KD 150,000 stolen


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Some unknown individuals stole electrical cables of length 50 kms worth KD 150,000 from the southern region of the country, which is a reminiscent of similar act that occurred last year, reports Al-Anba daily. The theft led to power outage in some governmental facilities that serve Kabad, especially livestock pens. According to a source, the thieves normally steal the cables to burn it and extract copper, which they sell in the black market at Amghara. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.
