Saudi earmarks USD138m for water projects: Report


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia, the Arab world's biggest economy, is planning to spend USD138 million on water projects, reported Arabian Business citing Okaz newspaper. The amount will cover the establishment of a reservoir in the region of Asir, in additon to a conveyor line from a treatment plant and another sewage related project in the Qassim area. Furthermore, the government is carrying out several projects, including a wastewater treatment plant in Hail, which is slated for completion in 24 months. Meanwhile, operation and maintenance works of pumping and treatment stations in the Asir province are being implemented. It is worth noting that according to Jadwa Investment, Saudi construction sector is expected to be the fastest growing sector in the Kingdom in the current year.
