Dubai Int'l Airport is world's 2nd busiest

(MENAFN) Airports Council International (ACI) stated that Dubai International Airport became the world's second busiest in terms of passenger traffic, with 10 million passengers passing the facility in 2013's first 2 months, reported Emirates 24/7. The airport has advanced 2 positions in the global rankings since the beginning of 2013, which indicates that the facility is becoming the preferred hub for many people, not only for its extensive global network but also due to the outstanding facilities on the ground. ACI said that for the first time ever, the airport was ahead of Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport, and was only preceded by London's Heathrow. It is worth noting that in February, passenger traffic at Heathrow reached 5.6 million, while it stood at 4.88 million at Dubai International and 4.77 million at Paris' Charles de Gaulle.
