Japan Airlines mulls acquiring 20 Airbus A350 jets

(MENAFN) Japanese Nikkei daily reported on Sunday that Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) is planning to spend around USD4.23 billion to purchase nearly 20 A350 jets from French Airbus, reported Reuters. JAL mulls using the new aircraft to replace its Boeing 777 jets on flights to Europe and the US. The agreement would be the first with Airbus and it includes a simulation facility for pilot training. It's worth mentioning that since mid-January, JAL's 7 Boeing 787 Dreamliners have been grounded due to problems with their lithium-ion battery.
