(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) International Women's Day was celebrated at Lifeline Hospital Sohar on March 9. Dr Najad al Zadjali, director general of health services “ Al Batinah region inaugurated the event by cutting a cake.
She was joined by Dr Aziza, director - Al Khaboura Health Centre, Dr Sheikha al Jabri, visiting senior consultant - Gynaecology, and Dr Gomathi and Dr Fouzia gynaecologists at Lifeline Hospital.
During her inaugural address, Dr Najad thanked Lifeline Hospital for taking the initiative in improving women's health in the region. She added that Omani women of today should take responsibility for their own health and health of their children to ensure the well being of the society.
In conjunction with International Women's Day, Lifeline Hospital offered free gynaecology consultation for two days on March 9-10 at Sohar and Salalah. This received an overwhelming response from the general public and many women utilised this promotion to get themselves checked by the gynaecologists at both the hospitals.
Both the branches of Lifeline hospital at Sohar and Salalah boast of highly qualified and experienced gynaecologists and support staff who are capable of handling all obstetric and gynaecological problems.
With delivery suites, special care baby units and operation theatres, they complement sthe services offered in the public sector.
