Dubai's Meydan to set up USD163m Korean hospital


(MENAFN) UAE's developer Meydan announced that it has inked a USD163 million deal with Mir Hashem Khoory (MHK) to set up a hospital in Dubai, reported Arabian Business. The company that developed Dubai's Meydan Racecourse said over half of the medical facility's 600 staff will come from Korea, transforming the emirate into a major medical tourism destination. The 280,000 sqft facility that would specialize in dermatology, cosmetic surgery, lasik, spine surgery, gynecology and adult and pediatric rehabilitation will include 170 beds and 7 operating rooms. It is worth noting that building the project will start in 2013 and is slated for completion in 2 years.
