(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Meetings of the unified Arab tariff commission led by Saudi Arabia kicked off here on Sunday with the participation of representatives of the customs services and the ministries of economy in the Arab countries. Abdelaziz Al-Mugheera, a Saudi customs expert, told reporters that the meeting will discuss several important issues, chiefly completion of outstanding issues from the previous meeting, as well as observations on some items and goods such as baby formula, and also completion of the discussion of Chapter 87 pertinent to vehicles. He added that the two-day meeting is nearing completion of the unified Arab customs tariff, stressing it is one of the main pillars of the launch of the Unified Arab Customs Union in 2015, based on what has been approved by the Arab summit for economic and social development, which was held in Kuwait in January 2009.
