(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said received HRH Charles, Prince of Wales, and HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall at Bait al Barakah on Sunday and held a meeting to review bilateral cooperation.
The meeting was attended by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed Nuamani, Minister of Royal Office, Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Dr Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Oman's Ambassador to the UK, and Jamie Bowden, the UK's Ambassador to Oman.
Earlier, Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said welcomed Prince Charles, HRH Camilla and their accompanying delegation at Muscat International Airport. The guests were then introduced to senior officials following which the Protocols Guard of the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) performed the salute, and the royal anthems of both countries were played.
Prince Charles took the guard of honour before greeting Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Dr Sunaidi, Dr Madiha bint Ahmed bin Nasser al Shibaniyah, Minister of Education, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Zaher and senior officers of the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF), ROP, Qatar's envoy to Oman, and members of the British Embassy in Muscat. His Majesty the Sultan later hosted dinner for Prince Charles and members of his delegation at Bait al Barakah palace on Sunday evening.
