Kuwait- Expat held with unlicensed gun, 200 ammunition rounds 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Jahra police have arrested an unidentified GCC citizen for possessing an unlicensed gun and 200 rounds of ammunition, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Police have also detained for interrogation his bedoun friend.

According to security sources the suspects were arrested while driving along the Salmi Road. They have been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Drugs seized: Three youths were arrested in Firdous for consuming drugs with seven rolls of hashish in their possession, reports Al-Anba daily.

A team of securitymen patrolling the area noticed a youth with blood all over his clothes. When the officers asked him what happened, he told them that he killed a friend and he is willing to guide them to a diwaniya where he purportedly kept the body.

Upon arrival at the location, the officers saw three youths consuming drugs and found seven rolls of hashish but there was no corpse there. It turned out that the other youth fabricated the story to convince the officers to go with him to the diwaniya, so the three other youths, who happen to be his friends, will be caught in the act of consuming drugs. He admitted that he took the action in retaliation to his friends who took turns in beating him earlier.

Meanwhile, three people - a Kuwaiti, a Nigerian and an Egyptian - who were caught red-handed in possession of hashish in Salwa have been referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Without going into details the daily said police interrogations with the three men are continuing.

Drunk citizen nabbed: The Southern Highway Patrolmen have referred an unidentified 50-year-old Kuwaiti to the General Department for Drugs Control, reports Annahar daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the man was arrested under the influence on alcohol on the Chalets Road.

Police have also seized from the man's car four bottles of imported liquor.
