Silver Mines on track for diamond drilling at Webbs on Monday

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Silver Mines (ASX:SVL) is on track for diamond drilling at its Webbs project, which is slated to start next week. The diamond drilling follows completion of 7 reverse circulation holes completed to date for 1,269 metres. RC drilling is still underway. Five holes will be cased and tailed with diamond core as planned, while two other holes will be site tested with a new hole. The 'tails' will vary from approximately 60 metres to 120 metres long in order to test the interpreted target zone for depth extensions to the high grade silver rich mineralisation. A further two RC holes are planned as part of this first phased RC program. RC drilling will then be suspended and is planned to recommence 2-3 weeks after the near completion of the diamond drilling. The RC rig is currently at the Webbs South Deposit with holes designed to test the steeper down-dip/plunge extensions to high grade mineralisation intersected by previous drilling. One ofthese holes will test for mineralisation which remains open at depth and where one of the deepest holes drilled to date by Silver Mines intersected 25.9 metres downhole at 337 grams per tonne silver, 0.29% copper and 3.20% combined lead and zinc. This equates to approximately 8 metre true width. The planned hole is designed to test the lode structure about 50-60 metres vertically below the previous hole intersection.
