(MENAFN) Qatari Finance Minister, Youssef Kamal, stated that the country's non-hydrocarbon sector is projected to post an expansion of 9 percent during the current year, reported Reuters.
However, Kamal noted that the gas sector is not expected to post any significant growth in 2013.
He added that the emirate's infrastructure sector is forecasted to grow 10 percent in 2013 and 2014, while spending on the sector will reach USD140 billion through 2019.
The minister said that growth of transport and communications would range between 10 percent and 15 percent.
It is worth noting that the budget for Qatar's coming fiscal year, which starts on April 1, would be based on an oil price of USD65 per barrel.
