Titan Energy to spud North Perth Basin gas exploration well

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Titan Energy (ASX: TTE) will soon spud its Warradarge-1 exploration well in the north Perth Basin that targets the proven Cadda Formation and Cattamarra Coal measures. Warradarge-1 will be drilled to a total depth of 1,500 metres and will collect formation cutting samples and use modern downhole data acquisition tools during drilling to assess the conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon potential within this section of the DR 11 permit. The well is expected to spud on 20 March 2011. DR 11 is located 10 kilometres west of the Woodada gas field and 20 kilometres northwest of the recent Arrowsmith-2 unconventional gas discovery by Norwest Energy (ASX: NWE) and AWE Limited (ASX: AWE). It was selected using data from a 2D seismic survey carried out over the DR 11 permit. Approval is also being sought for the drilling of the Warradarge-2 exploration well.
